About ABC Dog Training
Meet your trainer
Mya is the owner and head trainer at ABC Dog Training. She has a degree in Biomedical Science and was originally going to become a doctor, but after getting her first dog, she fell in love and has been besotted ever since.
She is most proud when strangers compliment the bond shares with her dogs. She wanted to start a dog training business that promotes building connections between owners and their dogs so both can have richer lives together.
With three dogs of her own, Mya brings a wealth of experience in all things dog.

Our approach
ABC Dog Training uses a personalised, relationship-based approach, tailoring training to suit each dog's breed, temperament, age and behavioural needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all method. This is complemented by practical guidance and ongoing encouragement for owners. Our focus goes beyond training to building trust, confidence and long-term communication between dogs and their owners, using force-free and positive reinforcement methods, all while having fun.
Background and accreditations
Mya is a IMDT Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy qualified trainer and will have her IMDT Dog Trainer accreditation in November 2026. She is continually updating her knowledge and pursuing various other instructor qualifications to bring new, exciting things to ABC Dog Training.
